The Institut de France, the Margency Children's Hospital (HEM) of the French Red Cross, and visual artist Caroline Desnoëttes have joined forces to offer the cultural and artistic project OUR VICTORIES. It has received financial support from the association Sur un Lit de Couleurs.

The young patients discovered the Institut de France thanks to academician Emmanuel Guibert and Catherine Dalarun. Over a period of six months, accompanied by the artist, they created an astonishing sculpture entitled NOS VICTOIRES using expired medical equipment, including gowns, caps, masks, rectal probes, and bags of saline solution. This work, inspired by the Winged Victory of Samothrace, symbolically recounts the small, medium, and large victories of young people during their treatment and their lives at the HEM. The young artists had the honor of exhibiting it under the dome of the Institut de France and sharing their victories on May 26.

The Institut de France also opened its doors wide to young patients, allowing them to exhibit, during European Heritage Days, seven costumes made from expired medical supplies, created in partnership with the National Renaissance Museum, Château d'Ecouen.
