1984 : she graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in painting. She lives in Paris and works in her studio at the Entrepôts Frigorifiques at Quai de la Gare, and then at the Hôpital Ephémère, previously the Hôpital Bretonneau transformed in studios for artists.
1985 to 1992: Publishing of newspaper drawings
1994 : she often organizes exhibitions and her works pass under the hammer of the auctioneer at Drouot. At the same time, she becomes the exclusive designer of the brand Paule Marrot. Then, she creates her own design and styling agency, Ddesign
Since 1996 : alongside her activities as an artist and designer, she publishes books about art at the RMN and Albin Michel Jeunesse. Around 30 books exist nowadays, awarded and translated in English, Chinese, Korean, Brazilian, Spanish, Portuguese, Galician, Catalan, and Italian.
2003 et 2007 : the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston calls on Caroline Desnoëttes’s talent for two publications dedicated to the collections of the Museum, in order to present and promote them.
Since 2005 : she starts new projects in the animation field. She creates a graphic bible and produces the cartoon Les SanSoucis for children, broadcasted in several countries: in France on Cap Canal and TPS Star; in Japan on Disney Channel; and also in Brazil, South Africa, Portugal, Slovenia, Denmark, Hong Kong, and in Korea. An application has been developed in order to continue the cartoon experience with an instructive game.
Since 2008 : she pilots the project Nature Animée supported by sponsors. She is at the side of hospitalized children to help them creating a cartoon on the theme of Nature. These works are broadcasted on TV, on the Internet and on cinema festivals: www.natureanimee.fr.
Since 2010 : she conducts several workshops, training sessions and meetings for the public in libraries, media libraries, schools, museums, hospitals and prisons.
Since 2014 : with the association Sur Un Lit de Couleurs, she organizes workshops for the children of the hospital of La Croix Rouge of Margency, in cooperation with several museums in Paris: the Louvre Museum, the Musée d’Orsay, the Jacquemart-André Museum, the Musée Rodin, the Petit Palais Museum, the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, and with the support of the RMN and the Auberge Ravoux in Auvers-sur-Oise: www.surunlitdecouleurs.com
2015 : Exhibition at Angoulême's museum
Caroline desnoëttes has never stopped painting. In her studio, she works on paper or canvas where the human figure and nature experience delicate and singular restructurations.
